Arts News!

We are an Artsmark Gold School! We have been recognised as providing outstanding opportunities in the arts.

Recorder Performance

On 17th July, year 5 gave a concert to parents and KS2 children, demonstrating their recorder skills after two years of learning the instrument.

African Drumming and Dance

What a fantastic day we had with 'Indigenous People' African Drumming group. They showed us African dance and drumming from Ghana, West Africa. The whole school watched an amazing performance by the group before all year groups had a chance to take part in a workshop with the group.

Arts Awards

Huge congratulations to year 5, who have been awarded their second Arts Award  - Discover. Well done year 5 for all your hard work.

Hastings Musical Festival

Once again lots of our children showcased their talents at the Hatings Musical Festival. All the children in Year 2, 3 and 4  took part along with the school choir.  Year 4   demonstrated their skills on the recorder and were awarded a well-deserved 3rd place.  Year 2 and 3  also sang beautifully and all the groups were awarded marks of 84 or above.

Chantry were awarded the 'Lord Blainsburgh Cup' for the school with the highest marks in the festival. A fantastic achievement - well done to everyone who took part. We are very proud of the way you performed.
