Home Learning

Home learning will be sent home on a Friday. Please keep the blue folder and reading log in your child’s bag as we will do work in these at school as well. Spelling and tables tests are on Tuesdays, and children can re-learn spellings they find tricky at home for a repeat test on Friday.

Reading:

Please ensure you hear your child read at least 5 times a week with you, reading aloud and/or reading silently and then talking about the book. This is extremely important and supports their progress in school. Each child should bring their reading book into school every day.

Times Tables:

Please help the children to learn their times tables each week. Year 4 children are now expected to know all the tables to 12 x 12, forwards, backwards and at random – and the corresponding division facts.
