Chantry Community Primary School Admissions Statement

East Sussex Children’s Services Authority (CSA) makes arrangements for the admission of children to Chantry Community Primary School.

Chantry Community Primary School is a fully inclusive school and we welcome children from all backgrounds and abilities.

Chantry Community Primary School follows the law on the restriction of class sizes for Foundation Stage and Key Stage One and Key Stage Two; this allows us a maximum of 30 children in each class.

Reception Admissions

Chantry will admit a maximum of 30 children to the Reception class each year.

Applications are made directly to East Sussex County Council (ESCC) via the websitehttps://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/educationandlearning/schools/admissions/ 

  The deadlines for the 2022-2023 academic year admissions round are:

  • Admissions information available: September 2023
  • Closing date for applications: 15th January 2023
  • Allocation decisions sent out: 17th April 2023
  • Appeal hearings: June and July 2023
  • Induction days: Summer term 2023
